About Dewey Parker
Dewey Parker may be the smoothest comedian you'll see in your lifetime.
He won "Winnipeg's Funniest Person with a Day Job" in 2024, but Dewey began performing standup and improv comedy in Shanghai, China.
Over his 5 year stint there, he became a local fan favourite for his likable nature, original humour, and energetic, memorable performances. He headlined sold-out standup shows around China, hosted a weekly open mic and weekend showcase, and performed improv comedy with two teams: Empire Improv, and the People's Republic of Comedy.
Now, Dewey has returned to his home in Winnipeg, Canada to continue his silliness. Thank goodness all his jokes are in English! He is a regular host at Yuk Yuk’s, and has performed at Rumor’s Comedy Club, Don’t Tell Comedy, the Winnipeg Comedy Showcase.
As an improvisor, he currently performs as part of Tectonic Improv, a team of four that has appeared in improv festivals in Winnipeg and Montreal, and produced “An Improvised John Hughes Movie” in the 2025 Winnipeg Fringe Festival. He also performs in Soap Scum Improvised Theatre, currently in their third season of shows.
